This Privacy Policy explains how Midgard MU Online (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use our website, launcher, and game servers (the “Service”). We do not sell your personal data.

1) Age (14+)

The Service is not intended for anyone under 14. If you are under 14, do not register or play.

2) What we collect

• Account data: email, username, account ID, password hash, security events.
• Game data: character names, progress, inventory, trades, rankings, logs.
• Security/anti-cheat: IP address and anti-abuse/anti-cheat signals to protect the server and investigate cheating.
• Support: messages and attachments you send to support.
• Payments (if used): transaction IDs/status and purchase history. Card/payment details are handled by the processor.

3) Why we use it

• To create/manage accounts and provide gameplay features.
• To prevent cheating, fraud, ban evasion, and attacks; to enforce rules.
• To provide support and communicate service notices (password reset, verification, maintenance).
• Optional: to send marketing/news about events and updates (you can opt out anytime).

4) Cloudflare, analytics, and cookies

• Cloudflare: used for DNS/CDN/security. Cloudflare may process IP/traffic data to deliver and protect the site.
• Google Analytics we will provide cookie/consent controls where required for non-essential tracking.

5) Payments

If you donate or purchase, payments are processed by PayPal or Stripe. Those providers process data needed to complete transactions and prevent fraud.

6) Sharing

We share data only when necessary to operate the Service (hosting/infrastructure, DDoS/security, payment processing), or when required to protect the Service and comply with lawful requests.

7) Retention

We keep account/game data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, fraud prevention, and dispute handling. Security/anti-cheat logs are kept as needed for investigations and protection.

8) Your choices

• You can opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link or support request).
• You can request access/correction/deletion where applicable by contacting support.
